Asean Fashion Designers Showcase Making Fashion Waves In Indonesia

On October 27-30th, ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase was invited to showcase in the 5th Malang Fashion Week 2022, Malang, Indonesia. Malang Fashion Week is one of the largest fashion events in the Archipelago of Indonesia supported by the Indonesian Fashion Chamber.
Hayden Ng, Premier founder of ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase and Singaporean fashion designer was invited as a guest designer to showcase his latest Ready-To-Wear collection aptly called Flame of The Forest. Malang Fashion Week is a creative economy platform for local, national Indonesian, and international Fashion Designers alike. This year’s theme was “Valiant”, showcasing 276 national and international fashion designers while unequivocally was a grand fashion week production. AFDS Regional Partner LT Pro, was the Hair and Makeup partner for Malang Fashion Week, creating some dramatic Runway looks for more than 120 models.
“As the Premier Founder of AFDS, I was invited to be the guest designer to close Malang Fashion Week. It was indeed a great honor for AFDS to be there at their 5th showcase which hosted 276 fashion designers from all over the country. Malang Fashion Week was not only a fashion event that showcased fashion from kids wear to modest wear, but it aspires to also be an opportunity to boost the SMEs in Malang, especially post-pandemic. Indonesia has always been one of the supportive nations in AFDS’s lineup of countries and in the near future, AFDS will definitely look forward to supporting Malang Fashion Week with our talented designers from all over ASEAN. Malang Fashion Week is an amazing production of great quality and is definitely one that is slotted in for our tour calendar” says Hayden Ng, AFDS Premier Founder.
AFDS was developed to raise awareness and appreciation for the unique style and diversity in the Asian region while promoting greater cross-cultural and creative collaboration. Growing mainstream regional awareness for fashion designers and models while nurturing up-and-coming, local fashion designers and models.
