The project of the International Fashion Week “ASPARA FASHION WEEK” was created by one of the authoritative clothing designers Aidarkhan Kaliev in early 2017. Aidarkhan Kaliev is the first Asian designer to work in official fashion week programs such as Milan fashion week, Paris fashion week, Amsterdam fashion week, Berlin fashion week, Lviv fashion week, Serbian fashion week, Asian designers week India, Eurasian fashion week China, Fashion week Istanbul Aidarkhan Kaliev – President of ASPARA FASHION WEEK, Chief Designer of the Asyl-Design Fashion House and founder of the ASPARA College of Model Art and Business in Taraz, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of Art History, member of the Chinese Clothing and Textile Manufacturers Association, author of over 80 image and seasonal collections Founder of the neo-folklore style, founder of the ASPARA and Aidar Khan brands in Kazakhstan.
According to the President of the International Project Aspara Fashion Week Aidarkhan Kaliyev – the project has become a platform for promoting Asian designers, including Kazakhstan to world podiums, exchanging experiences, showing foreign experts and fashion industry specialists the openness of our consciousness, preservation of Asian identity, stimulate the cult of knowledge among Central Asian designers, the consciousness of competitiveness in the fashion industry and development of the light industry of Kazakhstan The ASPARA FASHION WEEK platform gives participants of the fashion week and contestants of the Neo-Folklore International Design Competition not only promotion and status but also the sale of copyright products on Kazakhstan, Central Asian and European showrooms, the possibility of a franchise with Chinese manufacturers, direct work with buyers. Valuable cooperation experience and support from ASPARAFASHIONWEEK partners (about 12 weeks of fashion around the world), International Clothing Design Competition “Neo-Folklore” (the opportunity to participate in partner fashion weeks for free).
Season 6 – the SS-21 season of the ASPARA FASHION WEEK project will be held in Taraz. In season fashion weeks of ASPARA FASHION WEEK 60 collections of designers from 32 countries of the world and also 30 known fashion bloggers, presidents of the largest weeks of fashion in Europe and Asia will take part

Taraz was founded more than two thousand years ago. Throughout history, Taraz was famous as a city of artisans and traders. It is one of the oldest Kazakh cities with a developed culture. For centuries, it was the most beautiful city in the entire Asian region. The grandiose trade route – the Great Silk Road, connecting the East and West, caused the emergence of a unique city – Taraz.
Modern Taraz has preserved the traditions of the past. And therefore, once again, Taraz will host the largest fashion project in Asia ASPARA FASHION WEEK, which is a platform for the cooperation of many specialists not only in the field of the fashion industry, craftsmanship but also culture. The project was greatly supported by the Department of Culture of the Zhambyl region to achieve the following goals:
1. Realization of cultural, aesthetic, and cognitive values of Zhambyl region and Taraz city through the organization of the largest fashionable Asian project “ASPARA FASHION WEEK”;
2. To promote the development of the tourism cluster in the city of Taraz and the region as a whole, through advertising in foreign and domestic media;
3. The formation of the image of Taraz as a cultural oasis and a center of the fashion industry of Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a whole;
4. Creating branding and promoting the image of the city of Taraz, the ethnocultural complex “Kone Taraz” to the International level;
5. Creation of high-quality regional content in the field of fashion, style, and beauty industry;
6. Stimulating the cult of knowledge and competitiveness in the World fashion industry among young Kazakhstani designers;
7. Implementation of the idea: holding the ASPARA FASHION WEEK within the framework of the Ruhani-Zhangyru Program – modernization of public consciousness;
8. The task of the International Fashion Week “ASPARA FASHION WEEK” is to enter world markets.
As a result, more than 30 world-class fashion experts gave their consent to support ASPARA FASHION WEEK and applied for the participation of 60 designers from 32 countries and 5 continents.
